Smoke some cigars, people!

This is Caleb James Jobson, born February 2nd at 2:26 a.m.

He is awesome and great and perfect and hungry. His dad is amazing and exhausted and blows my mind on an hourly basis. I am just totally in awe.

Later, I'll tell some stories, but for now I'm going to stare at my son for a little while.

Congrats! He's adorable.

Congratulations! Little does he know (yet), he pretty much has the most kick-ass parents a child could ask for. So exciting!

Mazel tov (as they say in my neck of the woods)!!! He is beautiful and I am sooo happy for you guys!

Ohhh, he's soooo cute! Contratulations, Megan & Christopher & Mojo!

yay!!!!!!!!!! congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! awesome!!!! :)

p.s. great name.

I was wondering when you were going to put these up! Yay!

He is absolutely beautiful! You're created an amazing child, congrats to you!

I can't believe you waited so long to put up pictures! Why weren't you live-blogging the birth? My GOD!!

;)

He's totally sticking his tongue out at your readers in that top one, as if to say, "Nyah, nyah, she'll choose me over putting up some random post anytime, and I know it! Consider this woman to be wrapped around my little, tiny, adorable finger."

Yippee!! I'm so happy for all three of you.

My boyfriend says to stop staring at these pictures because I'm not allowed to have another baby until I get some sort of MFA. He's right but still...

..Congratulations! He's absolutely adorable

Hi Megan! Wow, CONGRATS! I did not even know until, like, this VERY MORNING that you were even pregnant -- and now I see that you are no longer so and that your beautiful son has arrived! This is fabulous! Todd and I are expecting a baby girl in May! Exclamation points! I wish I'd known you were pregnant; we could've kvetched some. I'll all about it.

Your musings on the special lexicon of babydom/pregnancy are spot-on and hilarious, btw. I mean, I can guess why they're called "receiving" blankets, but you know, no one ever bothers to even explain this--and really, where did it come from? Inquiring minds want to know. And do you need receiving blankets in addition to 'regular' blankets, and if so, how many? And I shan't forget the first time a mom idly tossed off the word "exer-saucer" to me as if I was supposed to know what on earth that meant. And the labyrinthine world of strollers and stroller brands (I still don't know why "umbrella" strollers are called that), and 5-point harnesses or whatever, and 89 Different Slings, and Jumperoos, and...Oh for heaven's sake.

Can't wait to read more updates and, eventually, meet your new family member. Our warmest congratulations!!!

xoxo
